WSMB Volunteer Opportunities: We can't do this without you!
COACHING:
Walsingham Minor Baseball Association is looking for responsible, caring adults to help coach in our league. Mentoring is provided to both new and returning coaches as you will be paired up with someone who has coached before.
Q. How do I volunteer?
A. You can indicate your willingness to volunteer/coach at the time or registration or by emailing us at [email protected]
All volunteers will need to get a valid Criminal Record Check completed which includes a Vulnerable Sector Screening. All information will be submitted to the Executive Committee for approval.
Q. I cannot commit fulltime, but still want to volunteer…how can I help?
A. We understand everyone has different availability. If you are unable to be head coach because of scheduling conflicts, we would still welcome your help as assistant coaches.
TO BECOME A COACH
As a new coach you must take take an introductory course online and are required to register with NCCP at nccp.baseball.ca The cost is $37.45 and your registration is valid for 3 years. Once you have registered, record your NCCP #. You will also need to complete a background check. Please provide your NCCP # to us at: [email protected] indicating which division you would be interested in coaching.
UMPIRES:
Anyone interested in earning a little cash this summer and assisting with umpiring some games would be required to get certified with Baseball Ontario. This is a very simple process, we need you!!

STUDENT VOLUNTEERING:
Looking to fulfill your volunteer hours or just want to volunteer for a great organization? Did you know in order to graduate high school you are required to fulfill 40 hours as a volunteer in the community? Become an assistant coach for our T-Ball teams, or help with maintaining the diamond or run the concession stand.
